The Art
Art is not what you see, but what you make others see. In any art you're
allowed to steal anything if you can make it better. Painting is poetry that is seen rather than felt,
and poetry is painting that is felt rather than seen. Art is the only serious thing in the world.
“The emotions are sometimes so strong that I work without knowing it. The strokes come
like speech.”
— Vincent van Gogh
“An artist is not paid for his labor but for his vision.”
— James McNeill Whistler
“A true artist is not one who is inspired, but one who inspires others.”
— Salvador Dali
“If I create from the heart, nearly everything works; if from the head, almost
nothing.”
— Marc Chagall
